A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TIBURON RESTRICTING PARKING OF
COMMERCIAL VEmCLES ON THE NORTH SIDE OF
TIBURON BOULEVARD EAST OF LYFORD DRIVE OF
FINES FOR SUCH VIOLATIONS
WHEREAS, the Town has received numerous complaints regarding the parking of
construction vehicles, moving vans and other commercial vehicles on the north side of Tiburon
Boulevard east of Lyford Drive; and
WHEREAS, the parking of such vehicles in that location impedes visibility; creates a
hazard to traffic on Tiburon Boulevard; and adversely impacts the quality of life of residents in
the area; and
WHEREAS, Section 22506 of the California Vehicle Code authorizes the Town to
prohibit or restrict parking on Tiburon Boulevard, subject to the approval of the State
Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Transportation is in general concurrence with this
resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon
as follows:

The following portion of Tiburon Boulevard (State Highway 131) is hereby defined and
established as a "No Parking for Commercial Vehicles" area pursuant to the California
Vehicle Code Section 22507.5 and shall be governed by the provision of Section 23-31
Ofthe Tiburon Town Code:
On the north side of Tiburon Boulevard (State Highway 131), extending 200 yards east of
Lyford Drive.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Tiburon on April 18, 2001 by the following vote:

COUNCIL MEMBERS: Bach, Gram, Matthews, Thompson
NOES:
COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
ABSENT:
COUNCIL MEMBERS: Slavitz
