RESOLUTION NO. 20-2001 A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TIBURON COMMENDING PENNY VORSTER FOR HER DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE TOWN WHEREAS, Penny Vorster has served the Town for over five years as Planning Department Secretary, turning the Planning Department Secretary's function into a superbly organized and efficient operation, and WHEREAS, Penny Vorster has taken minutes at over 100 Planning Commission meetings anq scores of Parks & Open Space Commission meetings, has served with distinction as the initial public counter contact for thousands of citizens and applicants, and WHEREAS, Penny Vorster raised the level of personal computer knowledge in Town Hall to new heights, using her quick learning ability and computer savvy to introduce new programs and softwares, and to load onto the Town's Website numerous documents including the zoning ordinance, application forms, staff reports, minutes, and other public handouts, and WHEREAS, Penny Vorster accomplished all of the above and much more while maintaining the utmost in professionalism, reliability, sound judgement, extreme competence, cooperation and good humor; all of which have been greatly appreciated; and whereas her calm disposition, and unfailing willingness to help the team effort will be sorely missed, and ,-... WHEREAS, Penny Vorster has announced her retirement and will, along with her husband Arnold, now travel the country in their RV, which is their home on wheels. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon does hereby express its sincere appreciation to Penny Vorster for her five plus years of dedication and outstanding public service to the Town of Tiburon, and extends its best wishes for a life after retirement that exceeds all expectations.
