RESOLUTION NO. 3343 "'" A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TIBURON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 3342 CONCERNING THE COST OF PRINTING AND HANDLING CANDIDATE'S STATEMENTS OF QUALIFICATIONS IN THE NOVEMBER 2. 1999 GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION WHEREAS, Section 13307 of the California Election Code provides that candidates for nonpartisan elective office in any local agency, including any city, county, or district, may prepare a candidate's statement of qualifications, which statement may include the name, age and occupation of the candidate and a brief description of no more than 200 words of the candidate's education and qualifications; and WHEREAS, the Tiburon Town Council adopted Resolution No. 3342 on June 16, 1999 which reaffirmed its policy that the candidate in a municipal election in the Town of Tiburon shall be responsible for the cost of such statement; '" WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Marin County Registrar of Voters that in the November 2,1999 General Municipal Election the amount for printing 200 words shaD be $150 for each candidate's statement of qualifications for the Town of Tibu'ron; and $125 if such statement is provided on computer diskette in either Word 97, WordPerfect 6.1 or 6.0 format; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the costs stated above for printing a candidate's statements of qualifications shall be paid for in advance by the candidate at the time Nomination Papers are filed with the Town Clerk.
