ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Persons wishing to address the Town Council on any subject not on the agenda may do so now.
Please note however, that the Town .Council is not able to undertake extended discussion or action
tonight on items not on the agenda. Matters requiring action will be referred to the appropriate
Commission, Board, Committee or staff for consideration and/or placed on a future Town Council
meeting agenda. Please limit vour comments to no more than three (3) minutes.

Councilmembers will have an opportunity to reflect on the prior year and acknowledge outgoing
Councilmember Mogens Bach.
CERTIFICATION OF NOVEMBER 6. 2001 TIBURON MUNICIPAL ELECTION
The Town Council, having received the official results of the election from the Town Clerk, will now consider
and act upon the following resolution.
(a) A Resolution of the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon
Certifying the Results of the November 6, 2001 Municipal
Election for the Purpose of Electing Three Town Councilmembers
Upon adoption of this resolution, the prior Town Council is hereby dissolved.
SEATING OF THE NEW TOWN COUNCIL
The Town Clerk will administer the Oath of Office to the newly elected Councilmembers and present them
with their Certificates of Election.
ELECTION OF MAYOR
The Presiding Chair will receive nominations for the office of Mayor and conduct the election.
ELECTION OF VICE MAYOR
The Mayor-elect will take the Chair and conduct the election of Vice Mayor.
NEW TOWN COUNCILMEMBER COMMENTS
Councilmember will have an opportunity to reflect on the coming year and acknowledge incoming
Councilmember Alice Fredericks.
ADJOURNMENT
The next regular meeting of the Town Council will take place on Wednesday. December 5. 2001.
RESOLUTION NO. 60-2001

RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF TIBURON
COMMENDING LIEUTENANT THOMAS J. AIELLO
FOR HIS 20 YEARS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT
IN THE TOWN OF TlBURON
WHEREAS, Thomas J. ("Tom") Aiello joined the Tiburon Police Department on
February 16, 1981; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure with the Department, through hard work and exemplary
service, Tom was promoted from Police Officer to Sergeant to Lieutenant; and
WHEREAS, due to Tom's demonstrated skill and abilities and his dedication and loyalty
to the Department, Tom was further promoted to Acting Chief of Police following the retirement
of the Police Chief; and
WHEREAS, Tom's quest for knowledge and his desire to further hone his skills led him
to seek and receive a degree in Business Administration from the 'University of Phoenix in 2000,
while working full-time with the Tiburon Police Department;
WHEREAS, Tom brought his special knowledge of technology to the Tiburon Police
Department and was instrumental in installing its first computer network; and
WHEREAS, Tom used these skills, along with his management experience and expertise,
in the successful completion of the new Tiburon Police facility in 1999; and
WHEREAS, Tom is known and respected by both residents and local business owners
who will miss his ready smile, quick response and tireless devotion to this community; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure, Tom has worked with numerous Mayors and Town
Councils, Town Staff and Public Safety Officials during his 20 years in the Tiburon Police
Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council commends Lieutenant
Thomas J. Aiello for his years of faithful service to the Town, and wishes him all the best in his
future endeavors.

A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF TmURON
CERTIFYING THE RESULTS OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION
HELD IN AND FOR THE TOWN OF TmURON, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
ON THE 6TH DAY OF NOVEMBER 2001
FOR THE PURPOSE OF
ELECTING THREE COUNCILMEMBERS
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon did heretofore order an election
to be held within the Town of Tiburon on the 6th day of November 2001, for the purpose of
selecting three (3) Town Councilmembers to serve for terms offour years, and
WHEREAS, said election was held pursuant to the requirements of the Government Code
and the Elections Code of the State of Cali fomi a; and '
WHEREAS, this Town Council of the Town of Tiburon has, pursuant to Section 22932
of the Elections Code of the State of California, canvassed the returns from said elections,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, ORDERED AND DECLARED as follows
I. That the whole number of ballots cast in the Town ofTiburon in said election was 2,604
which comprised 46.3% per cent of the registered voters (5,623);
2. That the names ofthe persons voted for were:
