RESOLUTION NO. 2686
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF TIBURON CERTIFYING THE RESULTS OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN AND FOR THE TOWN
OF TIBURON, STATE OF CALIFORNIA ON THE 10th
DAY OF APRIL 1990 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING
THREE COUNCILMEMBERS AND MEASURE "B"
WHEREAS, the Tow',:1. Council of the Town of Tiburon did heretofore order
an election to be held within the Town of Tiburon on the 10th day of April 1990,
for the purpose of selecting three (3) Town Councilmembers to serve for terms of
four (4) years, and
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon also order Measure
"B" to be placed on the ballot, and
WHEREAS, said election was held pursuant to the requirements of the
Government Code and the Elections Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, this Town Council of the Town of Tiburon has, pursuant to
Section 22932 of the Elections Code of the State of California, canvassed the
returns from said elections,
NOW, THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, ORDERED AND
DECLARED as follows:
1. That the whole number of ballots cast in the Town of Tiburon in
said election were 2,768 in the precincts and 1500 were absentee
ballots;
2. That the names of the persons voted for were:

Alvin R. (AI) Kuhn
Jerry Thayer
Fran Mayberry
3. That the TOWN OF TIBURON, MEASURE "B" voted upon was:
"Shall the Town of Tiburon be permitted to sell all or a portion of
the current Town Hall site and the adjacent two acre parcel of land
purchased with open space bond funds for the purpose of applying
the proceeds of the sale to build and equip a new Town Hall on
Town property at the corner of Mar West and Tiburon Boulevard
with the condition that the sold property be used primarily to
construct senior citizen housing and that any excess funds be
deposited in the Town's Open Space Fund?"

4. That the candidates were each a candidate for one of the three (3)
seats to be vacated at the expiration of proper terms as fIXed by law;
5. That this Council hereby finds that the number of votes cast in said
election for each candidate for the office of Councilmember and for
Measure "B" was as follows:

6. That the total number of votes cast throughout the Town of Tiburon
for the three vacant seats on the Town Council were as follows:

7. That the following persons are hereby declared to be elected as
members of the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon for a term of
four (4) years:

8. That the Town of Tiburon, Measure "B", is hereby declared to have
failed by the following vote:

9. That the Town Clerk is hereby directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be delivered to each candidate.

of the Town of Tiburon on Avril 17, 1990 by the following vote:
