RESOLUTION NO. 2711
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TIBURON COMMENDING HELEN BENEDICT
FOR HER ADVOCACY AND PROMOTION OF
AFFORDABLE HOUSING ON THE TIBURON PENINSULA
WHEREAS, HELEN BENEDICT was appointed as an original
member of the Board of Directors of the Tiburon Ecumenical Association in
1974, and
WHEREAS, HELEN BENEDICT has been an advocate and promoter
of affordable housing on the Tiburon Peninsula on this Board, and as a
member of the Tiburon Housing Committee, and
WHEREAS, HELEN BENEDICT has selflessly donated time and
energy in attending countless meetings regarding the management of The
Hilarita apartments, and
WHEREAS, HELEN BENEDICT has assisted in the conversion of the
Tiburon School into Bradley House senior citizen housing, encouraged and
supported construction of twenty Below Market Rate units at Point Tiburon,
and assisted the City of Belvedere in converting the Belvedere School into
Farley Place for senior citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council on
behalf of the residents of the Tiburon Peninsula does hereby extend their
heartfelt appreciation to HELEN BENEDICT and commends her for the
many years of dedicated service on behalf of affordable housing.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council
of the Town of Tiburon on .Tune 6, 1990 by the following vote:
