MINUTES
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Logan called the special meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon
to order at 5:05 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 1991.

1. APPEAL OF BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS & REVIEW APPROVAL
(Lighting of Two Additional Tennis Courts at Tiburon Peninsula
Club)
CounciImembers, TPC Manager Barbara Matthew, and Fran Mayberry, representing
the appellants and uphill concerned neighbors, met at the Tiburon Peninsula Club
and physically inspected the existing landscaping located at the rear of the TPC
tennis courts which serves as a butTer or screen from the surrounding residential
properties.
The major existing landscaping consists of large pine trees and other mature
vegetation in the areas surrounding the tennis courts. Additional landscaping has
recently been planted to infill certain sparse areas, but these trees and shrubs are
very small at this time. When they become fully grown, the landscape screen or
butTer between the residential properties and the TPC tennis courts will be much
more complete and etTective.
The Councilmembers then proceeded with their field trip by visiting five (5) private
residences located behind and to the side of the TPC tennis courts. These included
the Mayberry residence at 1494 Vistazo West, the Taylor residence at 1474 Vistazo
West, the Ewalt residence at 1410 Vistazo West, the Martel residence at 90 Lyford
Drive, and the Tartak residence at 32 Corinthian Court.

At each of these residences, the Council members observed both the visual and noise
impacts of the present two (2) lighted tennis courts and the tennis being played on
each of the lighted courts.
C. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business before the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon,
Mayor Logan adjourned the field trip at 6:40 p.m., sine die.
