RE: The Tiburon Town Hall
WE HEREBY SUBMIT SPECIFICATIONS AND ESTIMATES FOR: performing a thorough evaluation of both
the design and the operating condition ofHV AC systems AH-2 and AH-3 to determine why these systems have not
maintained comfortable conditions in the building.
AH-3 is a single zone heating/cooling system that serves the Council Chambers. We will verify the proper operation of
the heating, cooling and exhaust components, review both the temperature control system and the economizer system
design and verify proper operation, perform preventive maintenance tasks as we encounter a need for such work,
measure supply, return and exhaust air flows, check for installation problems with the duct furnace, and make
recommendations for needed repairs and/or system modifications.
AH-2 serves 3 zones on the 2nd floor and has been retrofitted from a heating only system to a cooling system with zone
reheat. Gas duct furnaces serve as the reheat device on 2 zones and an electric duct heater is the reheat device for the 3rd
zone. The above work description for AH-3 will also apply to this system. However, because there are no temperature
control system design drawings or sequence of operation for us to review, more time will have to be spent establishing
how system components are currently being controlled.
While AH-l, which serves the 1st floor office areas, is similar to AH-2, it is more complicated because it consists of 6
zones. We feel it is more cost effective to "learn" on AH-2. What we learn about AH-2's control system should directly
apply to AH-l.
WE PROPOSE to furnish material and labor in accordance with the above sPecifications for a sum not to exceed
$4,200.00, based on performing all work during normal working hours. It is difficuh to predict what problems we will
encounter. If our actual costs are less than we have anticipated, our in.AMill be reduced accordingly.~Mest
project cost we would expect is approximately $3,000.00.
PAYMENT to be made as follows: net 30 days upon completion.
Labor Warranty:
CommAir will provide the labor without charge to replace parts
sold by CommAir that become defective within 30 days of date
of installation.
Acceptance of Proposal: The prices, specifications and conditions
are satisfactory and are hereby accepted. You are authorized to do
the work as specified Payment will be made as outlined above.
