SUBJECT: NED' S WAY PORTABLE BUILDING RELOCATION
Dear Ms. Johnson:
This will acknowledge receipt of your July 24 letter concerning the above subject.
As we discussed last week, the Town will reimburse the RUSD for the relocation cost of
the portable building as provided for in the 1978 agreement between the Town and the RUSD.
I appreciate your offer for the Town to reimburse the District over a period of time. I
would hope that this "long forgotten" obligation could be spread over a three or four year period.
Please thank the District Maintenance Personnel for reducing the overall cost by preparing the
building for the relocation. Also, would it be possible for the Town to have a copy of the mover's
invoice for our files.

This morning I met with Mark Ginalsky, Jerry Thayer and Scott Anderson concerning
adjusting the lot lines and the new developments. With the new police department
building and other improvements on Ned's Way soon to become a reality, our portable
building on the corner of Ned's Way and Tiburon Boulevard will need to be moved.
According to the Agreement between the Town of Tiburon and the Reed Union School
District dated February 28, 1978, the cost of the relocation of this building is to be borne
by the Town of Tiburon. We would like to have the portable moved to Bel Aire
Elementary School. We have a quote for relocation of the portable for $13,900. In order
to reduce the cost to $12,000, our staff has already prepared the building for the move by
removing the stairs, decks, ramps and overhangs and disconnecting utilities. Would you
like us to arrange for the move and then bill the Town, or would you like to arrange for
the move?
