ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Persons wishing to address the Heritage and Arts Commission on subjects not on the agenda may do
so at this time. Please note however,that the Commission is not able to undertake extended
discussion or action on items not on the agenda. Please limit your comments to three(3)minutes.
CONSENT CALENDAR
All items on the Consent Calendar may be approved by one motion of the Commission unless a
request is made by a member of the Commission,public or staff to remove an item for separate
discussion and consideration.
1. Minutes—Adopt minutes of October 25,2016 meeting(Town Liaison to H&A,Patti Pickett)
2. Treasurers Report—Accept reports for October/November 2016 (Town Liaison to H&tA,Patti
Pickett)Detailed breakdown.
3. Artist Exhibits:Date Format Changes—Change from 2 Months to 1 Month rotation in
downstairs Lobby Gallery. Earliest possible start date:May 2017.
ARTIST RECRUITMENT—NEW ARTIST EXHIBITION/RECEPTION
1. Artist Calendar Commitments—Review 2017 calendar for duty assignments going forward.
2. Artist Repeat Exhibitions—
• Commission confirmation of intention to grant repeat exhibitions to certain artist groups.
• Decision on what groups for 2017 and assignment of commissioner to arrange and confirm.
3. Acceptance of artists outside Tiburon Peninsula-Commission discussion and adoption of
working with artists outside the Tiburon Peninsula.
4. Artist Reconfirmation-Reconfirmation of commitment of artists on calendar-
commissioners assigned to an artist for follow up on commitment and paperwork completion.
ACTION ITEMS
1. Artist Laureate Event-Oct. 9-Review request for reimbursement by Artist Laureate,Jaleh
Etemad;additional receipts for supplies. Review final accounting for project,including incoming
funds to support print costs of event books published.
2. Artist Laureate-Call for recruitment-Review of current documents/possible sub-committee
formation.
3. Award Calendar-Confirmation of 2017 dates for Educator Award and Historic Preservation
Award.

1. 77 EAST VIEW AVENUE: File Nos. DR2016104, VAR2016033, VAR2016034,
VAR2016035 & FAE2016011; Clinton Yee, Owner; Site Plan and Architectural Review
for construction of additions to an existing single-family dwelling, with Variances for
reduced front setback and excess building height, and a Floor Area Exception. The
applicant proposes to construct 1,361 square feet of additions to an existing three-story
house, which would result in a floor area ratio of 55.8%,which is greater than the 35.0%
maximum for a lot of this size. The front setback would be 2 feet, 6 inches in lieu of the
minimum 15 feet. The house would be 37 feet tall, in lieu of the maximum building height

2. 484 WASHINGTON COURT: File Nos. DR2016128NAR2016041; Karla Rivera and
Ernie Cervantes, Owners; Site Plan and Architecture Review for construction of a new
single-family dwelling, with a Variance for excess fence height. The floor area of the
proposed house would be 2,269 square feet, and its lot coverage would be 2,480 square
feet(28.3%). A portion of a new fence would be 8 feet tall, which is greater than the
