RESOLUTION NO. 271
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY eOUNeIL OF TIlE CITY OF TIBURON
CREATING TIlE POSITION OF DEPUTY eITY TREASURER.
WHEREAS, the City Treasurer has asked that there be created an office
of Deputy City Treasurer; and
WHEREAS, it is apparent that the establishment of such office would
insure consistent and continuous service, should the City Treasurer himself be
for any reason prevented from performing the functions of his office in timely
and expeditious fashion; and
liHEREAS, Section 41006 of the Government Code of the State of California
provides that the eity Treasurer may appoint deputies for whose acts he and his
bondsmen are responsible; and
l{HEREAS, Section 41007 of said Government Code provides that such
deputy shall hold office at the pleasure of the City Treasurer and receive such
compensation as is provided by the legislative body;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOi.JS:
THAT the office of Deputy City Treasurer in and for the Ci ty of Tiburon
is hereby created, compensation, if any, to be as provided in the annual budget
of the city; and
BE IT FURTIlER RESOLVED, that the City Treasurer be invited to make
an appointment to the position at his convenience~ subject to ratification
by the City Council.

City of Tiburon held on
