A RESOLUTION OF THE eITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIBURON
AMENDING EXHIBIT 'fA.", THE BAS IC SAIARY UNIT SCHEDULE, AND
ADDING SCHEDULE "J", THE SCHEDULE FOR EDUCATIONAL SUBSI-
DIES. OF THE M\STER SAIARY PIAN. RESOLUTION NO. 157.
WHEREAS, the City Council on 24 Mlrch 1969 did order Exhibit ''A'',
the Basic Salary Unit Schedule, and added Schedule "J", the Schedule for
Educational Subsidies, of the Master Salary Plan of said City amended by the
addition of new ranges;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
THAT said Exhibit ''A ", the Basic Salary Unit Schedule of the Mlster
Salary Plan, Resolution No. JS7, is hereby amended by the addition of two new
ranges, Nos. 34 and 35, the values of each being those set forth on the attached
amended Exhibit ''A" and made a pa~t hereof;
AND FURTHER THAT Schedule "J", the Schedule for Educational Sub-
sidies be added to the Mister Salary Plan.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Tiburon held on
April 14
, 1969 by the following vote:

SCHEDULE "J"
SCHEDULE FOR EDUCATIONAL SUBSIDIES

In any fiscal year when funds are budgeted therefore, the City
Manager may authorize regular employees of the City to participate
in bona fide training or educational programs or courses provided
under appropriate auspices, whether for academic credits or not;
provided that the training, study or tutoring be concerned with
subjects clearly related to municipal government service.
Educational subsidization shall be administered by the City Manager
so as to provide the greatest number of employees an opportunity to
advance and ~prove their knowledge and skills. In so doing, the
City Mlnager shall administer the program in such a way that the City
may reasonably expect to benefit from the increase in skill, knowledge
and competence of the employees endowed by this program.
