HomeMy WebLinkAboutTC Res 1964-06-23 (9) RESOLUTION NO. 4 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TIBURON ACCEPTING OFFER OF SERVICES OF WARREN SCill~ID TO ACT IN CAPACITY OF INTERIM CITY ADMINISTRATOR AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT THEREFOR BE IT RESOLVED as follows: 1. Mr. Warren Schmid is hereby retained by the City as Interim City Administrator. 2. Compensation shall be at the rate of $12.50 per 110ur for time actually expended on services rendered pursuant to this resolution. Said Administrator shall be compensated for out-of- pocket expense, including mileage at the rate of ten cents per mile for any extended trips out of the City, provided said trips are approved by the City Council in advance. 3. Administrator shall assist the Council in the admini- stration of the affairs of the City, shall advise and consult with the Council and other City officials, shall prepare and submit such reports and opinions as may be requested by the Council, shall represent the City or Council at meetings with public officials and other persons having business with the City as directed by the Council, shall attend meetings of the City Council as well as such other meetings as the Council may direct and shall discharge such other duties and functions as may be from time to time prescribed by the Council and agreed to by Ad- ministrator. Administrator shall be provided with office space in the City of Tiburon and shall be furnished with a telephone and secretarial assistance. 4. Administrator shall submit a statement for services rendered once each month to the Council and shall report to the Council at each meeting the total cost of his services rendered to date a~d the total cost of services rendered since the date of any previous report. 5. Administrator's services are rendered upon an in- terim basis, it being understood that Administrator is not a candidate for the position of City Manager. Administrator1s services shall be terminated hereunder on August 15, 1964, un- less otherwise terminated as herein provided. Administrator IS services hereunder may be terminated by Council at any time, without cause, upon 72 hours written notice to Administrator. Administrator may render services hereunder subsequent to the date of August 15, 1964, by mutual agreement between Council and Administrator.
