A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIBURON PETITIONING FOR THE
INCLUSION OF HIGHWAY 101, THE REDWOOD HIGHWAY OF CALIFORNIA, IN THE FEDERAL
INTERSTATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM.
WHEREAS the Committee on Publ ic Works of the House of Representatives is
presently considering whether or not the Redwood Highway of the State cf
California, among others, shal I be included in the Federal Interstate
Highway system, and;
WHEREAS said Redwood Highway is a vital part of the road transportation system of
this country; not only by reason of it s uti lity but also because it makes
accessible many of the great scenic areas of the State of Cal ifornia, end;
WHEREAS the inclusion of the Redwood Highway in the Federal Interstate
Highway System would further secure continued usefulness;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
That the Counci I of the City of Tiburon does urge upon members of Congress
and more particularly the Committee on Publ ic Works, that the Redwood
Highway be included in the Federal Interstate Highway System.
