RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE

EIIPLACEf:1ENT OF SIGNS SO LS TO RESERVE
SPACES FOR THE UNLO!illDTG OF COMf:1ERCIAL
VEHICLES.
i.1HEREAS, IYIr. Peter Friedman has petitioned this City Council for permission
to reserve space at the curb in front of premises leased by him, to ~dt,
No. 72 l'min Street, City of Tiburon, for the purposes of unloading merchan-
dise destined for said premises;
}JID 'iHEREAS said City Council did, on 13 :.:ieptember, 1965, act affirmatively
to grant the permission prayed for;
lTml, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED c"..S FOLL01!S ~
THAT the petitioner, }~. Peter Friedman may, at his own expense, acquire
and place suitable signs in.the street, at the curb, so as to reserve a
space not to exceed 35 feet in length in front of the aforesaid ~
No. 72 11ain Street exclusively for deliveries of merchandise destined to
said premises;
TH1...T no auch~gigns shall be placed on Saturdays, Sundays or legal holidays 9
TK\T such signs shall not be placed sooner than twelve o'clock noon on the
day deliveries are expected and shall be removed immediately after deliveries
are completed, but in any event no later than six o'clock p.m.;
TH},T the size, character and specifications of the signs shall be in accord-
ance with the requirements of police officials of the City:>
THAT permission to reserve the spaces for unloading shall be extended only
so long as the nature of the business remains primarily and substantially
that of a retail vintner receiving merchandise by common highway carrier;
liliD TlliiT police officials, with approval of the City Manager, may temporarily
suspend this permission \ihen public health, safety or welfare requires that
it be so suspended.
