ORDINANCE NO. 35
AN URGENCY INTERIM ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TIBURO~
EXTENDING CERTAIN ORDINANCES FOR ONE YEAR
The City Counci I of the City of Tiburon does ordain as fol lows:
SECTION I. Findings. The City Counci I of the City of Tiburon does hereby
find and declare that the fol lowing facts are true:
(a) The City of Tiburon has been Incorporated less than one year and the
Planning Commission is, in good faith, and as expedituously as possible, conducting
studies for the purpose of preparing and recommending to the City Council permanent
ordinances and regulations relating to zoning. The Planning Commission has retained
professional planning consultants and a report by a duly appointed citizens committee
is in the process of preparation.
(b) On or about the date of its incorporation, and pursuant to Section 65806
of the Government Code of the State of California, the City adopted certain interim
zoning ordinances, namely, Nos. 5, 7, 8 and 24. Said zoning ordinances wll I expire
on or about June 23, 1965.
(
(c) To permit sufficient time.for tne Planning Commission and the City Counci I
to receive, examine, and act upon the recommendations of said Planning Commission
and said citizens committee relating to permanent zoning ordinances and land use
regulations, it is necessary that the effect of the aforesaid interim zoning ordin-
ances be extended for a period of one (I) year pursuant to the provisions of
Section 65806 of the Government Code.
SECTION 2. Extension. The fol lowing ordinances should be and are hereby
immediately extended for a period of one (I) year from and after the date they
otherwise expire:

An Ordinance adopting zoning regulations for the City.
An ordinance adopting subdivision regulations for
the City.
An ordinance adopting regulations relating to the
division of land into two or three parcels.
An Ordinance amending the subdivision ordinance
to provide increased lot size.

SECTION 3. Statement of Urgency. In order to provide for the immediate
,preservation of the publ ic peace, health and safety which would be jeopardized were

1\ '" ulations of the development or use of lands, and frustrating the purposes and
ectives of the studies and programs now being conducted in good faith by the
nning Commission and City Counci I of the City of Tiburon, it is necessary that
ts ordinance be adopted and take effect immediately as permitted in Section 36937
the Government Code.
SECTION 4. Upon adoption, this ordinance shal I be posted in three (3) publ ic
within the City of Tiburon as designated by resolution of the City of Tiburon.
