REsmLUTION NO. 320
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TIBURON, MARIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING
THE FEDERAL GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION RESCIND
THE PUBLIC SALE OF THAT CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
LOCATED IN MARIN COUNTY DESCRIBED AS "TIBURON NAVAL
NET DEPOT-N - CALIF. 579-B"
WHEREAS, the Tiburon Peninsula's spectacular growth has created
diminishing effect upon areas of open space, trails and park facili-
ties; and
WHEREAS, this specific 5 1/2 acre parcel of property is presently
located adjacent to 18 acre of natuEa1 preserve owned by the County
of Marin; and
WHEREAS, the success of preserving areas for open space, trails
and park facilities prevails largely upon the joint efforts and
cooperation of federal, state and local jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tiburon recommends
consideration of this parcel of land under the provisions of Public
Law 91-485,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT the City Council af the City of Tiburon does hereby request
the United States Government Department of General Services Adminis-
tration remove the 5 1/2 acre parcel of real property known as
Tiburon Naval Net Depot -N- Calif. 579-B, from their public sale rolls,
give consideration of this parcel under provisions of Public Law
91-485 and that either the County of Marin or the City of Tiburon be
considered as future recipients of the property.

of the City of Tiburon held on November 23
