RESOLUTION NO. 319
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TIBURON EXPRESSING
APPRECIATION TO THE FIRST CITY MANAGER, LAWRENCE
D. ROSE, FOR OUTSTANDING AND DEVOTED SERVICES
WHEREAS, Lawrence D. Rose has served as City Manager of the
City of Tiburon since 1964, the year in which the City was incor-
porated, to the present time; and
WHEREAS, during those past six critical and formative years
his valuable services and guidance as Tiburon's first City Manager
has assured the City of a strong basis upon which to build a better
community; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Tiburon realize that as the result
of his stewardship during the last six years, the City will forever
be the beneficiary of the extensive background of experience and
expertise which he brought to bear upon its municipal affairs; and
WHEREAS, he now departs in favor of undertaking other
challenging and difficult assignments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tiburon desires to
express the sincere appreciation of the residents of the City for
the outstanding manner in which he performed his professional
duties;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Tiburon, does hereby express its regret at the departure of
its first City Manager, Lawrence D. Rose;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City
of Tiburon does hereby declare on behalf of the citizens of Tiburon
its deep and sincere appreciation for the outstanding manner in
which Lawrence D. Rose discharged his responsibilities and fulfilled
the commitments he undertook to the City of Tiburon;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Tiburon, on behalf of its citizens, expresses best wishes to Lawrence
D. Rose for success and happiness in his new assignment.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Tiburon held on November 23, 1970, by the
following vote:
