RESOLUTION NO. 289
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TIBURON ADOPTING A GENERAL PIAN
FOR DOWNTOWN.
WHEREAS: This Council has reviewed the General Plan documents presented
by consultants Philip K. Buskirk and H. MOrgan Noble and the Planning Directorj
and,
WHEREAS: This Council has held a public hearing as required by Law and
has had the benefit of public discussion and recommendations from the Planning
Commission; ,and,
WHEREAS: The General Plan of the City of Tiburon was adopted without
the Downtown Plan as an element; and,
WHEREAS: This Council finds that the text as proposed and approved by the
Planning Commission best satisfies the overall goals of various segments of the
community at large and that the Demonstration Plan illustrates a method of
achieving these goals and provides a strong basis for continuing study and
action in satisfying the interest of the general welfare and well being of the
community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RES OLVED: Tha t the Ci ty Counc il of the City 0 f
Tiburon does hereby adopt the General Plan for Downtown Tiburon as set forth in
the text, plans, and sketches presented and does hereby make it an element of
the General Plan of the City of Tiburon.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Tiburon City Council held
on May 11, 1970, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Becker, Ellinwood, Fanning, Rice, Sennett
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
