RESOLUTION NO. 285
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TIBURON CERTIFYING THE RESULTS OF THE MUNICIPAL
ELECTION HELD IN AND FOR THE CITY OF TIBURON,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ON THE 14TH OF APRIL, 1970.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tiburon did
heretofore order an election to be held within the City of Tiburon
on the 14th day of April, 1970, for the pu:pose of selecting
three (3) City Councilmen to serve for terms of four (4) years; and
WHEREAS, said election was held pursuant to the require-
ments of the Government Code and the Elections Code of the State
of California; and
WHEREAS, this City Co~ncil of the City of Tiburon has,
pursuant to Section 22932 of the Elections Code of the State of
California, canvassed the returns from said election;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, ORDERED AND
DECLARED as follows:
1. That the whole number of votes cast in the City of Tiburon
in said election were 1,335 in the precincts and 24 absentee
ballots;
2. That the names of the persons voted for were:

Donald L. Batten
Carlisle Becker
R. Gary Gray
Alvin R. Kuhn
Albert H. Sennett
3. That tbe candidates were each a candidate for one of three (3)
seats to be vacated at the expiration of proper terms as fixed
by law;
4. That this Board hereby finds that the number of votes cast in
said election for each candidate for the office of Councilman
was as follows:

6. That the following three (3) persons, having received the
highest number of votes for the office of Councilman of
the City of Tiburon, are hereby declared to be elected as
members of the City Council of the City of Tiburon for a
term of four (4) years:

7. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a certified
copy of this resolution to be delivered to each candidate.
