RESOLUTION NO. 418
RESOLUTION OF INTENT OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TIBuaON TO ACQUIRE RIDGE lAND PROPERTIES
WHERFAS, those lands familiarly known as the Ridge Lands of the Tiburon
PeDdnaula have now and historically been planned for preservation as permanent
open space, and
WHEREAS, it is the conviction of this Council that the residents of the
City of Tiburon consider that preservation of the Ridge Lands is a matter of
highest priority,
NCW, mEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Tiburon
hereby declares its intent to immediately implement a permanent and continuing
program directed to the preservation of the greatest feasible amount of the Ridge
Lands of the Tiburon Peninsula for permanent open space and recreational use by
means of acquisition and proper planning of land use,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Council urges all residents of the Tiburon
Peninsula and other concerned individuals and groups to participate directly in
achieving this worthy goal by donating money and properties located on or adjacent
to the Ridge Lands, and the City of Tiburon hereby creates the Ridge Land Acqui"
sition Fund for the receipt of these donations.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular ..neeting of the City Council of the City of
Tiburon held on January 27th
, 1972, by the following vote:
