RESOLUTION NO. 417
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TIBURON TO THE BOARD OF DI RECTORS
OF SANITARY DISTRICT # 5 URGING THAT CREDIT
BE GIVEN TO THE TIBURON ECUMENICAL ASSOCIATION
FOR EXISTING SEWER HOOK UPS IN DETERMINING
HOOK UP FEES FOR THE NEN HILARITA
WHEREAS, the City of Tiburon has approved the development
of the new Hilarita, a 112 unit moderate income apartment complex
in the site of the existing World Wa~ II Hilarita Public Housing
Project; and
t~EREAS, this development is being sponsored and will be
operated by the Tiburon Ecumenical Association, a non-prOfit
corporation comprised of four local churches; and
WHEREAS, the success of such a project will bring great
benefit to the City of Tiburon and the greater community of Marin;
and
WHEREAS, the financial success and future security of such
a project requires the most careful husbanding of all resources;
and
WHEREAS, an original l20-presently approximately aO-func-
tioning sanitary sewer hook ups to the lines of Sanitary District is
already exist in the property.
NON, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT the City Council of the City of Tiburon urges that the
Board of Directors of Sanitary District #5 give most serious
consideration to these facts as set forth and find that the presently
existing sanitary sewer hook ups fulfill at least, in part, the
requirements for the new Hilarita so that, in computing the fee to
be paid by the Tiburon Ecumenical Association, prorated credit will
be given for these existing hook ups.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Tiburon City
Council held on January 10, 1972, by the following vote:
