RESOLUTION NO. 12!
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TIBURON ESTABLISHING SPECIAL ELECTION PRE-
CINCTS, APPOINTING ELECTION OFFICERS, ESTABLISH-
ING POLLING PLACES AND SETTING COMPENSATION FOR
SPECIAL ELECTION FOR WEST PENINSULA ANNEXATION
NO. 1 (STRAWBERRY)
WHEREAS, a special election has been called for October
19, 1971, to decide whether the area designated WEST PENINSULA
ANNEXATION No.1 (Strawberry) should be annexed to the City of
Tiburon; and
WHEREAS, Section 1618 of the Elections Code requires the
election board to appoint members of the several precinct boards
and designate the polling places; and
WHEREAS, Section 35127 of the Government Code requires
the legiSlative body to appoint one inspector, one judge and
two clerks for each voting place; and
WHEREAS, Section 22030 of the Elections Code provides
that the election board may divide the territory wi thin which
the election is to be held into a special election precincts,
Netf THEREFORE, be it resol ved:
1. The territory wi thin which the election is to be
held (Strawberry) is hereby divided into two special election
precincts as follows:
(A) Special Precinct. No. 1 which shall be comprised
of that. portion of existing Precinct. No. 3701 which lies
north of Medn L~..e, that portion of existing Precinct No.
3702 which lies south of Tiburon Boulevard, that portion
of existing Precinct No. 3700 which lies qenerally north
of Meda Lane, and that portion of existing Precinct No.
3709: which lies souf:h of Tiburon Boulevard, all of which
special Precinct is more particularly described in
Exhibit A attached hereto.
(B) Special Precinct No. 2 shall be comprised generally
of that portion of existinq Precinct No. 3700 which lies
south of Meda Lane and that portion of existinq Precinct;
Ho. 3701 which lies south of Meda Lane, all of which special
precinct is more particularly described in Exhibit B
attached hereto.
2. The inspectors, judges and clerks shall be as follows:
(A) For Special Precinct No. 1

3. The Polling places shall be as follows:
(A) FOr Special Precinct No.1
Strawberry Point School
117 East Strawberry Drive
(B) For Special Precinct No.2
Golden Gate Theologocal Seminary
Student Center - Gilbert Drive
4. The Polls ~hall be open at 7 O'clock a.m. on October 19,
1971 and shall remain open until 8 o'clock p.m. that
evening.
5. Compensation for the election officers shall be:

and apart from payroll salaries.
