RESOLUTION NO .--1ll
RESOIUTION OF TliE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TIBURON CONSENTING TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF
PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
lANDS TO THE CITY OF TIBURON PURSUANT TO PRO-
VISICNS OF WE ANNEXATION ACT OF 1913.
WHEREAS, the Loca:" Agency Fornation Commission of the County of Mlrin
has approved the City of Tiburon's aFP1ication for annexation of territory
generally described as West Peninsula An.nexation No.1, consisting of all the
developed and undeveloped areas south of Tiburon Boulevard including Straw-
berry, Strawberry Pbint, Golden Gate Baptist Seminary, and commercial areas
bordering Highway 101; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tiburon is authorized to be the conducting body
for further proceedirgs pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation Act of 1913;
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 35108 of said act, said Planning Commission
had c'I:tly adopted and filed its report and recommendations;
NOW, TIlEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT, pursuant to Section 35106 of said act, the Tiburon City Council
does hereby give its consent to the c~encement of proceedings for annexation
to the City of Tiburon those lands hereinbefore described and as indicated by
the Local Agency Formation CO~ission cf the County of Marin Resolution No.
70-39, dated Septcffiber 16, 1970.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a =<?gu1ar meeting of the City Council of the City
of Tiburon held on May 10 , 1971, by the following vote:
