A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TIBURON EXPRESSING ITS APPRECIA-
TION TO JOHN B. MCFARLANE UPON HIS
RETIREMENT AS MANAGER-SUPERINTENDENT OF
SANITARY DISTRICT NO. 5 OF MARIN OOUN'!'Y
WHEREAS, John B. McFarlane, having served in the position of
Manager-Superin1:endent of Sanitary District No. 5 of Marin County
for eleven years: and
WHEREAS, being t.he first executive of the District as Manager
from 1961 to 1963 and Manager-Superintendent from 1963 t.o 1972: and
WHEREAS, in recognition of the dedicated and efficient manner
in which he performed his duties as Manager-Superintendent. of the
sani tary plant operation: and
WHEREAS, in consideration of his cooperation and assistance
to the Belvedere/Tiburon Committee for the Environment: and its
operation of the recycling depot and his valued assist.ance to the
Joint Belvedere-Tiburon Drainage Committee,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that. the Ci t.y Council of the
City of Tiburon does hereby coDlDend and express its sincere
appreciation on behalf of the citizens of Tiburon t.o John B.
McFarlane upon his retirement as Manager-Superintendent of Sanitary
District No. 5 of Marin County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Ci~ Council
of the City of Tiburon held on June 12, 1972, by the following vote:
