A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TIBURON SUPPORTING MARIN MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT BOND MEASURE E
WHEREAS, The Marin :-1unicipal Water District Ll8.S submitted MeasurettE"
for Special District Election on November 6, 1973, &nd
WHEREAS, Measure "E" provide.; for a $7,560,000 Bond Issue for the
acq\lsition, construction and completion of ;.mprovements to the District's Water
Woris system comprising facilities for wa~er supply, transmission and distribution
frOll the Russian River, and
w~REAS, because present water consumption now exceeds the safe yield
of fhe District's watershed area~ and shortage of water can occur during periods
of Eubnormal rainfall, and
WHEREAS, in May 1973 the Tiburon City Council adopted Resolution No.~34
UUr~ing.the Marin Municipal Water District to Coordinate the District's Long ~nge
Plax:s -with the Cities and COllJ.""1ty of Marin",
WHEREAS, the Marin Countywide Plan proposes a viable solution to the
10nE?range planning process for Marin County.
,NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT the City Council of the City of Tiburon does hereby endorse Measure
"e" (Russian River Water Supply Project) as proposed by the Marin Municipal Water
Die :rict and SupP0rts its ?assage at the Special District Election of November 6,

PASSED AND ADOPTED at a meeting of the City Council of the City of
TiDlIron on the~da.y of October, 1973, by the following vote:
