A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CIT~ OF TIBlmON URGING THE MARIN MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT TO COORDINATE Ttlli DISTRICT'S
LONG R~GE PLANS WITH THE CITIES l~nD COUNTY
OF Ml'~RIN.
WHEREAS: the City of Tiburon has consistently supported the
concept of orderly population growth on the Tiburon Peninsula; and
WHEREAS: the City of Tiburon has endorsed the three goals as
outlined in the Marin County-wide Plan that suggest an effective and
desirable method for planning wi~1in the County of Marini and
WHEREAS: the City of Tiburon is confident that by the appli-
cation of the specific elements of its G~neral Plan to the planning
of lands both within the Tiburon city limits and within its Sphere of
Influence, an orderly and nondisruptive development can take place.
NOW I THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
1 ~ That the City of Tiburon urges the Marin J.1unicipal Water
District (p~MD) to coordinate its future planning efforts with the
Incorporated cities within Marin County as well as with the County of
Marin and that special care be taken to insure compatibility with the.
Marin County-wide Plani and
2. That I~~m recognize the fact that land development planning
is the prerogative of the Cities of Marin and the County of Marini and
3. That the bond issue presented to the public in November 1973
be of a reasonable nature and that the uses of the proceeds be clearly
defined.
PASSED AA~ ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Tiburon held on May 14, 1973, by the fo11rn4ing vote:
AYES: Arambu~, Becker, Fanning, Littman, Sennett
