A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY. COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIBURON
TO OUR ELEC'l'ED REPRESEN'D\ TIVES IN CONGRESS CONCERNING
nm CONFLICT IN SOUmEAST ASIA.
WHEREAS: a decade of undeclared war has led to disorder in govern-
ment. commerce, and moral behavior; and
WHEREAS: military might and technological resources have been applied
to the unprecedented systematic destruction of a national environment; and
WHEREAS: through these actions we have earned the disapproval of
na tions who formerly looked to this country for leadership; and
WHEREAS: efforts have largely been counter-productive;
NOW tHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Tiburon does ask the elected representatives of the people to bring an end to
the conflict and destruction and, act to restore order and reason to the affairs
of government and commerce; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council express its appreciation for
the efforts now being made by the President and by the Presidential Advisor,
Mr. Kissinger, to sign a Peace Agreement in Paris, and
THAT all efforts be redirected to promote enduring peace for the en-
tire buman-community.
PASSED AND ADQIlTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of tbe
City of Tiburon held on January 22, 1973, by the following vote:
