ORDINANCE NO. 15
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TIBUROl
ESTABLISHING t1A SPECIAL GAS TAX STREE~
H1PROVEMENT FUNI'"
The City Council of the City of Tiburon Goes ordain a[
follows:
Section 1. To comply with the provJ.sJ.ons of Section 19'.::
Article 5 01' Chapter 1 of Division 1 of the Streets and Hi 2:1,-
ways Code, there is hereby created in the city treasury ~
special fund to be known as the t1Special Gas Tax Street ImprovE-
ment Fund."
Section 2. All moneys received by the City from thE
State of California under the provisions of the Streets and
Highways Code for the acquisition of real property or interesLr.
therein, or for engineering, or for the construction, maintenance
or improvement of streets or highways by the City shall be paid
into said fund.
Section 3. All moneys in said fund shall be expended ex-
clusively for the purposes authorized by, and subject to the
provisions of, Sections 194-202 of Article 5, Chapter 1, Divlsion
1 of the Streets and Highways Code.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
and the facts constituting such emergency are that the City,
having just re('n"1tly been incorporated, has no SPECIAL GAS TAX
STREET IMPROVEMENT FUND and the establishment of such fund by
ordinance is required by State law before the City is eligible
to receive funds apportioned to it under applicable State law.
Orderly administration of the City Government requires that i~-
mediatr-> pY'nvision be made for the City to receive all revenues
to which it is entitled and to provide the necessary Funds in
the City Treasury to receive and account for such revenues.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Tiburon
at a regular meeting thereof on the 13th day of July 1964 by the
following vote:
