A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF TIBURON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 07-2001
AND UPDATING ITS LOCAL HISTORIC INVENTORY
OF BUILDINGS LOCATED IN DOWNTOWN TIBURON THAT ARE ELIGIBLE FOR
APPLICATION OF THE CALIFORNIA STATE HISTORIC BUILDING CODE
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon does resolve as follows:
Section 1. Findings.
WHEREAS, on February 7, 2001, the Town Council adopted Resolution No. 07-
2001 adopting a local historic inventory of buildings located in Downtown Tiburon and
authorizing their eligibility for application of the California State Historic Building Code;
and
WHEREAS, since that time changes to the buildings (including demolition of the
Harbor Light Building) and building street address have been made that warrant updating
of the list to reflect current condition; and
WHEREAS, no new buildings are being added to the inventory; and
WHEREAS, all findings set forth in Resolution No. 07-2001 are hereby
incorporated by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of
Tiburon that an updated list of the buildings on the local historic inventory of buildings in
Downtown Tiburon, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein, is adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council hereby authorizes the
Building Official to apply provisions of the California State Historic Building Code
(SHBC) to those buildings listed in the aforementioned Exhibit "A".
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Tiburon on May 5, 2010, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Collins, Fraser, Fredericks, O'Donnell, Slavitz
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
