This month we would like to clarify the procedures to assist you in completing your lateral service connections. 1. Please do not start work on your lateral services until a future update from us announcing the Town's advertisement for a contractor to construct the main joint trench work within the public right of way. We anticipate advertising in late Jul. 2. Once we have announced our advertisement, property owners should begin finalizing their selection of a contractor for their lateral service connections. Actual work does not need to begin until the Town's contactor has started the main joint trench work. We will inform you of this date. 3. Please be aware that any work over $500 needs to be performed by a licensed contractor. Your contractor should comprehensively understand the specifications that we provided to you and where the vacant conduits should be best installed on your property. 4. You will need to have an appropriately licensed contractor acting on your behalf to apply for a permit with the Building Department (415-435-7380) to receive underground power. You will need an electrical contractor a second time when a PG&E (or Town) representative has made contact with you to schedule the actual conversion from overhead to underground service. This latter step will not occur until February or March of 2012. 5. Your lateral service installation (i.e. power-telephone-cable) should go from (or near your existing electrical panel to the general vicinity of where the utility service connections boxes are shown on the individualized service connection maps we provided in May. Project Coordinator, Mr. Al Petrie (707- 974-9193 or alp@csgen rg .com), working for the Department of Public Works (DPW) will be marking out the approximate locations of these service connection boxes during construction for you and your contractor to follow. 6. If your work is completed before the service connection boxes have been installed by the Town's contractor, please install stakes exposed 6 inches above ground from the end of your vacant conduits with some distinguishing marks (e.g. "power", "telephone", "cable") to locate them later. When the Town's contractor installs the service boxes, he/she will make the final connections to your vacant conduits. 7. The Town will need to know your contractor and his/her schedule. The DPW staff and the utilities must inspect each lateral service trench prior to "closing it up." As such, the DPW team requests that you complete the attached form with the appropriate information, and send it back to us when you have selected your contractor. If your lateral service trench was not inspected by DPW and utility companies, you will have to unearth the work for inspection. 1/3 8. From the time Town announces the selection of our contractor, we ask that you complete your lateral service work by December 2011 . Our project coordinator, Mr. Al Petrie, will be available to assist homeowners through the overall process. If you have any project questions, please contact him at 707-974-9193, or at alp@csgenar.com. Best Regards, Nicholas T. In June, 2011 with all the late rain we had lots of weeding to do. We did not have much planting to do BUT Kevin - owner of Green Jeans nursery donated a small Australian weeping Acacia in honor of my wife Nancy who passed away in April. We planted it in June. In June we also deadheaded many plants. By removing the dead blooms from the two areas of Geum we should see a second blooming period like we did last year. If any of your group can get over to see our improvements this summer you should be pleased - more color than ever. HARVEY p.s. I have volunteers working at Blackie's every week all summer a. 7/5/2011 ~o O N C7 d N V r to co O U v rn ti 00 M co r- W O z T- r O F- U CV O J Q ~ w 1- ~ H O C13 :D D l) C W W w Z O N r O r et N O to O C4 0 ~ W Cl w _ O N M M LO O 00 N CIO a a W Q ~ N N N M (D N C) O N Li Q O co O e- O co CD O 00 Q W n ~ Q O co N O O co w O N O V- M co O LO Q N O O co r O O) N - - w z Q p a J Q 0 z w z C7 co N W a w w i- co w U z a Q > a. w U x w Q LL w W > U. CRAvF-oRD, DIRc-CTOR PUBLIC NOTICE RADOVICH AND BUTLER REZONING AND STRAWBERRY COMMUNITY PLAN AMENDMENT (PROJECT ID 2011-0070) 6LO NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Marin County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing to consider the application submitted by Patricia Souza and Carol Butler, on behalf of property owners James Radovich and Carol Butler, to change the zoning and community plan designations for the subject properties. The proposal would change the designations to be consistent with the existing residential developments and density on the subject properties. The current zoning for these properties is AP, Administrative Professional and the Marin Countywide Plan Land. Use Designation (CWP LUD) is OC, Office Commercial/Mixed Use. The proposal would change the zoning and Strawberry Community Plan land use designation to RMP-8, Residential Multiple-family Planned district, 8 units per acre maximum density. This proposal would be consistent with the CWP LUD that allows residential zoning districts of RMP-0.1 (one unit per ten acres) to RMP-30 (30 units per acre). This proposal would be consistent with the intent of the Strawberry Community Plan, Zoning Implementation Subsection (f), which recommends rezoning the subject properties to a designation that is consistent with the existing and historic uses of the properties. The subject properties are located at 29, 31, 31-A, and 33 North Knoll Road, Mill Valley, and are further identified as Assessor's Parcels 034-141-01 and -02. The proposed project has been determined to be Categorically Exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act, per Section 15305, Class 5, Minor Changes to Land Use Limitations. The public hearing will be held at the regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, in the Board of Supervisors Chambers (Room 330 - Administration Building) Civic Center, San Rafael, California, at the hour of 11:15 A.M., at which time any and all persons interested in this matter may appear and be heard.
