WHEREAS, the Tiburon Town Council wishes to honor and
recognize the achievements of the Tiburon Peninsula Little League All-Star
teams in 2017. In capturing the District 3 titles for both the IOU and 12U
leagues, the players from tiny Tiburon vanquished foes from much larger
teams and cities in Marin and San Francisco Counties. In addition, the 12U
"d
All-Stars prevailed as champions of Section 1, and finished the season as 3
best Little League in all of Northern California, an amazing feat.
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of these young boys, most of
whom have played together on the All Stars team for the last four years, are a
testament to the effort and commitment of the players, coaches and
community. The players represent the ideals of hard work, perseverance and
teamwork, the hallmarks of Little League and harbingers for their success in
life.
NOW THEREFORE, I, MAYOR JIM FRASER, on behalf of
the Tiburon Town Council, do hereby congratulate and commend the players
and coaches of the Tiburon Peninsula Little League All-Stars for their
success on the field and for being outstanding representatives of the Tiburon
community.
