ON HIS RETIREMENT FOLLOWING z YEARS OF SERVICE TO rI't--I(E TOWN o F TiBURON WHEREAS,, Jerome (Jerry) Wachowiak began his career as a Police Officer with the Town of Tiburon on November 24, 1986 and has served the people of Tiburon in a variety of assignments as a patrol officer, field training officer, range master, defensive tactics instructor, DARE instructor and department armorer; and WHEREAS,, Jerry's greatest legacy will be the lasting, positive impression he made on the lives of many, many of the communities' children in his role as the department's DARE Officer, a position he served in for 20 years; and WHEREAS., Jerry's consistent demonstration of maturity and sound decision making was reflected in a style of policing that matched the expectations of the Town Council and the community and set an example for co-workers; and WHEREAS,, Jerry's warmth, pleasant demeanor and calm approach to policing borne of his many years of experience and lifelong desire to help others, made a substantial, positive contribution to the public perception of the police department; and WHEREAS,, Jerry's commitment to the highest principles of police service to the Town of Tiburon is amply documented in many letters of appreciation from business leaders, residents, and visitors alike and commendations from supervisors; and Now T EREFORE, the Town Council of the Town of Tiburon does hereby heartily commend, congratulate and thank Jerome A. R.
